MMA, its Directors and various members of staff have played important role in the development
communities, and the uplifting of the Construction industry. We are very much aware of the continuing
inequalities that exist in the construction sector and in wider developmental endeavours. The practice
continues to focus on the development of the small contractor.
Advice is given on contract matters,
formulation of claims, and detailed schedules of materials are prepared. Advice is presented in such a
way that sustainable administration practices are promoted.
We have experience in a number of community driven projects that have required significant consultations with
community representatives to ensure that project aspirations are matched by practicalities.
In sync with
academic calendar for tertiary level education, Maphanga Mitchell Associates avails an internship program
for students studying at the Swaziland College of Technology to fulfil industrial attachment requirement
with the possibility of Contract based jobs for excelling interns.
On a more industrial social responsibility:
Has served on the Swaziland National Construction Industry Interim Council as their secretariat
tasked with the development of the construction regulatory body. He is a member of the Swaziland
Sectional Titles Board and is a Vice Chairman of the Construction Industries Council (CIC). He
serves on the Procurement Review Board for EPPRA.
He is a past Chairman, Treasurer and committee member of the Swaziland Association of Architects
Engineers and Surveyors (SAAES). He has participated and continues to support the International
Trade Centre’s Bridges Across Borders initiative of creating working relations with professionals
Was a member of the first Management Board of the Swaziland Environmental Authority. He is a past
chairman of the Swaziland Association of Architects Engineers and Surveyors (SAAES) and was Chair
of the legislation sub-committee during the 1980’s. He has been an external moderator for the
Building Department of the Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT) for some 20 years. He has also
sat on the Mbabane Valuation Court.
Mbuso Kingsley was a member of the second Swaziland Standards Authority (SWASA) Council 2009-2012.
